Plans are being made for our Spring Break Trip to Charleston,
including spending a couple of nights on the USS Yorktown aircraft carrier.  The trip is scheduled for the first part of Spring Break, Saturday March 14 - Tuesday March 17, 2009.  There is room on the ship for scouts, dads and even a separate sleeping area for moms.  Included in the trip is a tour of Ft Sumter and a tour of downtown Charleston.

JD Parker is hard at work on the planning and needs to put down a deposit around the first of the year.  Typically on a trip like this, the Troop pays for about half the cost (through the money we make from Christmas Tree Sales).  The other half is paid for by the scout families.  For this trip, JD needs a check or cash from you for $50 per person (scout and adult) at one of the next two meetings (Dec 9 or Dec 16), or contact him directly to make arrangements.  As always, any trip is open to all scouts, regardless of ability to pay.  If there are any financial issues involved, whether you need to pay later (it is the Christmas season), or can't pay at all, please contact Bob Calhoun, Ralph Upchurch or David Philpot to discuss it.
